Homeless Students Hit Record High In Boom Town | Williston , North Dakota | KFYR NBC

People desperate for work have been flocking to Williston to support their families. But although they might be making more money, the school district says they`re not necessarily helping their children. The problem is the housing shortage. This year there`s been a record number of homeless students in the Williston School District, and administrators think it`s just the beginning.

They are living in trailers, 5th wheels and other vehicles. No they`re not just adults coming to North Dakota to make money in the oilfield; they`re students, mostly in elementary school.
